Article Abstract:
Crime has become an important topic of conversation in the UK in 1993. Debate centres particularly on the perceived rise in crime among young people. Various factors have been blamed including one-parent families, the school system, an acquisitive society and violence in the media. It has been suggested that more research in crime should be undertaken and the results could contribute to the debate. It is argued that statistics may not be accurate or can be misleading.
