Banking on more reliable evidence

Article Abstract:

Robert Black QC, a professor of law at Edinburgh University and one of the people responsible for bringing the case surrounding the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 at Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1998 to trial, expresses his doubts about the conviction of Libyan intelligence agent Abdel Baset Ali al-Megrahi in 2001 for the bombing. Black argues that al-Megrahi should not have been found guilty and sentenced to life in prison and states that he has new evidence from intelligence staff which links the bombing to the Iran-backed Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
