Article Abstract:
Issues relating to an initiative at Strathclyde University which aims to make email and the Internet valuable parts of the way in which students learn are examined. While over 50% of students regularly use email and surf the Internet, only a handful expect email to be part of their learning, with the Internet being less popular than the library as a resource, according to a survey of 400 new business, engineering and science students conducted by Allison Littlejohn, e-learning lecturer at the centre for academic practice at Strathclyde.
