Article Abstract:

Profiles of the nominees for The Times Higher's award for the institutional project or course which has demonstrated the most imaginative use of distance learning. The four nominees are the online dental courses of Guy's, King's and St Thomas's Dental Institute, the Open University's Understanding Media degree, Coventry University's School of Art and Design for the work done by lecturers Eduardo Carillo and Harold Fricker, and UHI Millennium Institute for its BA in cultural studies.
