Power and human rights: a post-Cold War dilemma
Article Abstract:
The US has lost much of its authority to enforce the recognition of human rights in other countries. The Clinton administration has repeatedly signalled its commitment to defending human rights but, so far, it has been unable to prevent violations occurring in Bosnia, Somalia and Haiti.
