Article Abstract:

An examination of the social and economic impact of the University of East Anglia on the city of Norwich, United Kingdom. While it is acknowledged that the university is an important contributor to Norwich's economy and that its students add to the cultural diversity of the city, local residents have complained about the university, claiming that rowdy students cause trouble and that local traffic problems are a result of student cars. The university has countered, saying that local youths have deliberately provoked fights with students.

Conferences are a way for universities in the UK to boost their finances. Warwick University exploits this method of revenue generation better than other institution in the UK, generating UKPd20 mil/yr. Manchester University is next on the table, generating UKPd10 mil/yr, followed by Nottingham University with UKPd8 mil/yr and Aston University with UKPd3.5 mil/yr.

Article Abstract:

The Research and Assessment Exercise show in the UK has drawn a numerous amount of talent from many universities. There is much debate about what applies for research in art, and different univertieis have their separate views.
