Article Abstract:
The Higher Education Funding Council produced league tables to show which institutions were using the most and least government funds to teach 16 subjects. Subjects included in the analysis ranged from medicine, education, business and art. The tables will be used to penalise the more expensive institutions and help those that were cheaper. Some subjects showed very high discrepancies of thousands of pounds sterling.
