Article Abstract:
The decision by the Association of University Teachers (AUT) to boycott Haifa and Bar-Ilan Universities in Israel because of alleged "illegal activities" was rash and based on partisan information. It is contended that the motion by the AUT was passed with only a few minutes of consultation by its members and has received no support from either the Arab or Jewish side. It is also feared by many that the boycott will make the situation of universities in Israel worse rather than better.
