Treasure hunters discover net

Article Abstract:

Collectors and sellers of rare artefacts are increasingly opting to use the internet as the selling medium instead of traditional auction houses. Buyers can register their requirements at the Interactive Collector website in anticipation of future auctions while dispensing with the need to search manually through numerous auction catalogues. Auction houses Christie's and Sotheby's plan to launch their own internet auction operations. University experts may be unable to give an accurate commercial value on rare university-owned artefacts.
