...think that graduation ceremonies could do with some spicing up

Article Abstract:

The graduation ceremony organiser for York University analyses university graduation ceremonies and the amount of organisation required for them to go ahead without too many problems. It is noted that while graduations may only take place for a day or two, the amount of organisation involved is large and that at no other time does somebody have to not only make sure that students, parents and faculty are all in the same place at the same time, but that they are well dressed as well.

Cambridge University has been attacked for its treatment of overseas students by Lee Kuan Kew, Singapore's founding Prime Minister. Mr Lee was guest speaker at an event to celebrate the 800th-anniversary fundraising campaign of Cambridge University.

Fizzy day falls flat with the price tag

An evaluation of the graduation ceremony at Brighton University. The standard of the ceremony as a whole is praised, although there are some minor issues and the UKPd12 charge to attend the ceremony is criticised.
