Hubco project ushers in Pakistan's energy revolution

Hub Power Co. received the 1996 James H McGraw Award for handling Pakistan's, as well as South Asia's, first privately financed power project. The company made inroads in financing, becoming the first independent power producer to be bestowed a political risk guarantee by the World Bank.
