Automated paperwork cuts labor time by 50%

Waukesha, WI-based Therm-Tech has decided to rely on the programming services of Heartland Software Development Inc of Wauwatosa, WI, in a desire to customized its system software for an automated paperwork. The automated order-entry/invoicing system has provided various benefits to Therm-Tech including the ability to provide customers with electronic invoicing, 50% time savings on work-order and invoice processing, 71% reduction in percentage of sales for credits and 25% cut in log-time maintenance.

SPC cuts inspection time by 95%

Article Abstract:

Uniform Tubes Inc. (UTI) adopted the automated statistical-process-control (IPC) system of Quality Measurement Systems (QMS) to improve the accuracy and post-inspection time of its manufacturing process. The specialty-tubing manufacturer hired QMS to develop the system due to the high quality demands of it customers. The automated IPC was integrated to company's manufacturing process after 10 months. The system reduced post-inspection time by 95% while in-process inspection decreased by 30%.

Ebonite takes out 93% of bowling-ball-core rejects

Article Abstract:

Ebonite International Inc. integrated a new statistical process control software package into its bowling-ball-core placement process to reduce rejects in its patented asymmetrical core bowling balls. The Synergy Gold software from Zontec Inc. enabled Ebonite to set fine tolerances with its core positioning and enabled the company to double its production with lesser rejects.
