The strategic alliance of NTT, JapanEs largest telecommunications carrier, and PictureTel of the US has fuelled the growth of the videoconferencing system market in Japan. The employee-friendly strategies adopted by the companies, which helped to ingrain the new NTT oPhoenixo brand in the Japanese market is described.
