How do people use the Baldrige award criteria?
Article Abstract:
A survey helped determine how the vast majority of companies that received copies of the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) criteria but never applied for the award used the criteria. Almost all of the 71.6% of respondents who did use the criteria found them to be a good source of information on business excellence. Other popular uses included setting up quality-control programs, communication within the company, improving existing departments, as part of a seminar or training program, and company self-assessment.
