Construction quality auditing
Article Abstract:
Construction quality auditing is a technique used to examine and enhance the performance of transportation construction and design projects. This method is applied in cases wherein conformance with plan specifications are analyzed, deficiencies in the project are eliminated and the process of information retrieval and reporting are speeded up. The effectiveness of this method can be ensured through the use of trained auditors, specific audit processes and cooperation between contractor and auditor.

Managing change orders and claims
Article Abstract:
Disputes between a project owner and a contractor over change orders and claims can be successfully managed by establishing a dispute prevention and resolution system prior to construction. This may be in the form of a partnership, a dispute review board or incentives. Likewise, claims may be resolved through tools which identify claim events and monitor added costs. These include daily progress reports, payroll registers, cost ledgers, project schedules and invoices.
