Detect distributor defects before they cripple columns

Article Abstract:

Detecting liquid distributor defects in tower packing assemblies is a process that requires proper attention from design, testing and eventual installation. Feed conditions, which include the presence of solids and vapors, need to be assessed in order to prevent plugging problems in the distributor perforations. Water testing prior to shipping the assembly is an accepted industry practice that needs to be conducted in order to pinpoint potential problems.
