Donning a new hat: a former US Air Force inspection agency changes its name and role

Article Abstract:

The Inspector General organization of the Air Mobility Command is now known as the Quality Support and Readiness (QS). There is a corresponding change in the department's role with this new name. Whereas before, quality inspection was its main task, the QS is now a quality advisor and helper. This is being done through the development of a series of training materials which has evolved into technique courses and by conducting quality visits. Such visitations are done in three phases with the aid of a self-evaluation model.

Codes, cultural archetypes, and the collective cultural unconscious

Article Abstract:

An understanding by companies of the cultural archetypes which predetermine the reactions and perceptions of the members of a culture will facilitate the marketing and sales of their products as proved by a case study of a French Cheese Company that developed a new campaign based on the cultural archetypes of the US, thus increasing its US sales. Cultural archetypes are the childhood imprintings that establish behavior patterns in human beings, a set of which make up the collective cultural unconscious.

Article Abstract:

Business can retain customers by incorporating loyalty themes in all operations. A recent survey indicated Americans are nostalgic for loyalty. Businesses can take advantage of this nostalgia by projecting to the customers that personalized services are always available to them even in a time of crisis. Reaching out to the customers in a time of need can create lifetime loyalty. Loyalty can also be generated by providing 24-hour customer assistance.
