DOE questions energy efficiency
Article Abstract:
The US Dept of Energy (DOE) has released the results of a study analyzing energy use for ventilation, auxiliary heating and air-conditioning equipment and motors. The study indicated that the energy consumption of auxiliary equipment such as pumps and fans are increasing despite the steady improvement in the energy efficiency of primary equipment. The reports will be helpful in identifying more energy-saving technologies for DOE's building-equipment research and development programs.

A versatile, economical, clean energy
Article Abstract:
Natural gas is versatile, economical and clean energy whether installing a new facility or replacing existing equipment. There are various reasons why people are getting interested in natural gas. These include the presence of a number of US manufacturers, the need to improve indoor air quality economically, creation of a hedge against the uncertainties of energy deregulation, and the desire to reduce energy costs and eliminate electric peak demand charges.
