Forming the material supply structure through the choice of the production cooperation range
Article Abstract:
A technique based on an input-output production model for determining the production cooperation range is described. The method addresses the problems associated with economic and organizational decisions. This includes analysis of procurement, storage, payment and economic considerations. The method specifically concerns optimal product structure in large mechanical engineering companies. It uses the sum of manufacturing costs and opportunity costs for its selsction standard.

A systematic procedure for the selection of bulk material handling equipment
Article Abstract:
A systematic procedure for bulk solids handling equipment selection is analyzed. Since most companies have their materials shipped in bulk, materials handling must be considered a priority to avoid handling problems. The model presented exhibits the need for bulk handling firms to consider factors such as account economics, equipment characteristics, environmental characteristics and compatibilities between equipment types.

A note on economic process levels under acceptance sampling by variables
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine an exact and approximate optimal solution for resolving economic process levels. The study focuses on acceptance sampling by variables under control by MIL-STD-414-B and considers the development of an equation for measuring such process levels with known variability. Results show that a simple computation can be derived for determining optimal process levels for the given control factor.
