Design guidelines minimize erosion in SMA connectors
Article Abstract:
Design methods to eliminate the erosion in SMA connectors are presented. SMA connectors are known to self-destruct because of their outer- and inner-contact properties. To improve the connect/disconnec lifetime, one solution proposed is the local reduction of the 0.161-in (4.09-mm) diameter at the interface. The locally reduced outer-conductor diameter is used to compensate for the added inductance.

Methods linearize RF transmitters and power amps
Article Abstract:
The different techniques for the linearization of entire transmitter designs are described. The techniques can accomodate the integration of the complete transmitter and linearization operations within a single device. The techniques include Cartesian loop, adaptive baseband distortion, envelope elimination and distortion and nonlinear components/combined analog locked-loop universal modulator.
