Liquid membrane process cuts cost of separation
Article Abstract:
Facilichem was formed by four California-based companies to continue the development of the Facilimax liquid membrane technology, a process that could significant reduce the costs of separating gases, liquids and contaminants from mixtures. The technology involves a liquid membrane configuration that allows only the purified material to pass through. It is also a cost effective process since it allows for the constant replenishment of the separating agent.
