Liquid seals give high joint integrity

Article Abstract:

Anaerobic engineering adhesives and sealants have been used since the 1950s in many industries to bond metal, glass and ceramic components, seal threaded fasteners and retain cylindrical parts. Anaerobic gasketing products have high strength, requiring fewer bolts to clamp a joint together. Users can combine strength, flexibility, oil resistance and high operating temperature with many anaerobic flange sealants.

Fast sensing without penetration

Article Abstract:

Taunton based company, Scantron, has developed a non-contact measurement system that solves the problem of how to measure the height of transparent glass assembly items. The new system has proved such a success that the optoelectronics company is combining the measurement data and location information with a robotic pick-and-place station to fully automate the glass mounting process.
