MCSARCH: an architecture for the development of manufacturing control systems

Article Abstract:

An architecture for the creation of manufacturing control systems, called MCSARCH, was formulated to lessen the effort required to develop shop floor control systems. MCSARCH, which is an extension of the use of object-oriented software development techniques, integrates the use of numerous manufacturing and communication standards which are designed to address an issue related to the design and creation of systems. Its implementation requires the use of a computer aided software engineering tool.
