New Simulation Computer and Software Combination is Less Costly and Easier to Program than Supercomputers
Article Abstract:
Applied Dynamics' ADI System 100 is an efficient physical system dynamic simulation system. It consists of an AD 100 multiprocessor digital computer and the ADSIM dynamic simulation language software. The System 100 achieves 50 percent of its hardware efficiency, compared to 10 to 20 percent for conventional systems. System 100 features the capability to model systems identified by 2,000 to 4,000 state variables and to perform scalar and vector mathematical operations with great speed. Applications include use as real-time and time-critical simulation in product development.

Additions to the Catalog of Simulation Software
Article Abstract:
A Catalog of Simulation Software was published in the October 1984 issue of Simulation. Additions and updates to that list are presented in chart form. The areas covered are microcomputer software and minicomputer and mainframe software. The products are listed alphabetically by name and a brief description, contact, system requirements and price are included.
