Outcome management is a tool for creating a winning outlook and a firm yet flexible structure as well as dynamic strategies for attaining success in business. Outcome management considers customer needs, the business ecosystem, company structure, strategies and attitude as the five basic factors for achieving business success. A significant difference between outcome management and other management philosophies is that it requires vision and thinking before examining the current status or past efforts of an organization.

Mentoring a protege can save managers time
Article Abstract:
Management consultant Mel Lester thinks that managers can be classified into three types: the mentoring manager, the distant manager and the controlling manager. Among the three, the mentoring manager offers the best leadership characteristics. Executives can become mentoring managers by sharing project management responsibilities with others, providing a specific amount of time for training, establishing a formal relationship with the protege and appointing technical assistants.
