Plastic drainage chamber cuts costs and annoyance

Article Abstract:

A large, custom plastic construction for a town drainage system, which was produced and installed in the center of a city roundabout in such a way as to minimize disruption to traffic, has won a prize for Welsh Water Capital Alliance. It would have weighed around 100 tones rather than four tones and installation would have caused considerable cost and inconvenience to the local populace and businesses had it been made of steel and concrete in the usual way.

Filter cleans as it filters.

Article Abstract:

The filters in the average domestic dishwater have to be taken out periodically, cleaned and replaced whereas industrial filters are back flushed, in order to maintain continuous operation. A slurry pit filter is developed that cleans itself and can be used in different industries thereby cutting the cost of production.
