This article describes advances due to computers that are helping the chemical industry use mathematical models to predict reactions during production. Specifically, this article describes various mathematical equations collectively called MESH. M stands for material balances. E stands for equilibrium relationship. S stands for summation equations. H stands for heat or enthalpy balances.
