Taking the myth out of documenting work instructions
Article Abstract:
Documentation standards stipulated in standards body International Standards Organization's (ISO) standard ISO 9000 Level III work instructions are being misinterpreted by quality managers. Contrary to popular opinion, ISO 9000 does not require copious levels of documentation at every stage of the quality management process. Work instructions should reflect the environment of operational procedures rather than specific work detail.
