Teams expand into cyberspace: creating, leading, and learning from virtual teams
Article Abstract:
Electronic and Web-based techniques have made it possible to reduce in-person teamwork. This has in turn led to the creation of virtual teams. Such teams offer many advantages. These are unique to each company, but a number are applicable to any industry. Virtual teams can reduce costs, with companies being able to hire candidates without meeting relocation costs, and also offer a very good way for a company to enlist people it could not normally include in team activities. Most companies are able to successfully address any technical challenges associated with virtual teaming.

Managing records for ISO 9000 compliance
Article Abstract:
The ISO 9000 series requires companies to maintain records of all the activities that pertain to quality, as it believes that quality record maintenance is indicative of the quality of the system and the product. Quality records should include details of corrective-action requests, nonconformance, material reports, project-status minutes and visual-inspection records. Records should contain specified data rather than implied data. Records of industry specification and standards should be a part of an organization and quality records.
