Cheetah Wireless Technologies Inc., at Las Vegas mobile network is the first municipal installations to use mesh wireless technology for accessing the Net. The benefits of mesh network are higher speeds, less susceptibility to radio interfaces, and greater resistance to network congestion.

Antipiracy software opens door to electronic intruders

The copy protection software (XCP) used by Sony BMG Music Entertainment, overrides some files of the computer operating system (OS) thus making the system more prone to cyber attacks. A lawsuit has been filed against the company, as the company is not able to resolve the problem properly.
