A system dynamics approach for regional environmental planning and management: a study for the Lake Erhai Basin

The relationship between water quality deterioration and industrial development in China's Lake Erhai Basin is studied using a model that incorporates component-level data into simulations of system behavior. The model produces information that can be used to evaluate various management alternatives and their economic and environmental impacts.
