Estimating 24-h habitat use patterns of white-tailed deer from diurnal use
Article Abstract:
Diurnal habitat use patterns of white-tailed deer in winter, spring and summer can help estimate their 24-h habitat use. Diurnal sampling is useful to estimate habitat use in regions with rough terrain and minimal roads. A comparison of the two patterns of habitat use at Sand Lake Wildlife Refuge, South Dakota reveals that both patterns are similar. While 24-h sampling is not feasible due to financial constraints, hunting disturbance, or terrain, diurnal sampling is useful to estimate the 24-h use pattern even when there is human disturbance.

Beneficial use of dredged material for habitat creation, enhancement, and restoration in New York-New Jersey Harbor
Article Abstract:
The beneficial use of dredged material for habitat creation, enhancement and restoration is an integral part of the Dredged Material Management Plan (DMMP) for the Port of New York and New Jersey (NY/NJ). The preliminary screening of the proposed beneficial use alternatives identified advantages, disadvantages, potential volumes, and estimated costs associated with each project type.

Repeatability of phase 1 habitat survey
Article Abstract:
The results of the Phase 1 survey audit in Wales are presented to assess repeatability between staff of the same organization. The findings indicate that the amalgamations of related habitat groups into Board Habitats resulted in little gain in survey repeatability.
