Article Abstract:

The environmental impact of a tailings dam spill in Aznalcollar, Spain is examined, along with an evaluation of the site after two cleanup operations. Soil cadmium and zinc levels remain high; further cleanup efforts are recommended, with mitigation for surrounding wildlife in Donana Natural and National Parks.
