Stachys germanica L
Article Abstract:
Stachys germanica is a biennial or perennial herb believed to be native in the UK, where it is considered a rare plant specie. They can be found in few sites on the oolitic limestone of west Oxfordshire at an altitudinal range of 100-150 meters. S. germanica proliferates best in open spaces during warm and dry season and may grow singly or in clusters. The plant can withstand severe temperature, though some changes are visible at the leaves' tips and edges. Historians believe that the plant can relieve stomach pains and menstruation discomforts.

Do species assemblages ever recur?
Article Abstract:
A survey of roadside vegetation in southern New Zealand and eastern Spain provided data on whether the same assemblage of plant species, referred to as an association, occur at different communities. Analysis of the data using the Jaccard measure of similarity indicated that the an association recurs, but at a different level of similarity. The reccurrence of an association at different sites may be attributed to factors such as dispersal and habitat sorting.
