Park user perceptions of resource and use impacts under varied situations in three national parks
Article Abstract:
Perceptions of resource and use impacts of park users in southeastern US were studied. The symbolic meaning that park visitors connote to impact situations including litter, erosion, dead trees and animals, crowding and congestion, and commercial encroachment, were investigated. Public user perceptions and tolerance for situational impacts varied among cluster groups of park users.
