Article Abstract:
The international trading of secondary nonferrous scrap metals has been boosted by advances in communication technologies, such as electronic mail and other forms electronic commerce. The Internet does not only bring internantional trading partners together, but also allows nonferrous scrap recyclers expand their markets. As of 2000, there are over a dozen Web sites that offer online trading between scrap, producers, processors, brokers and consumers.
