Fire authority commends hard work in South Wales

The South Wales Fire Authority praised the personnel of the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service for their achievements in increasing efficiency and reducing casualties. Accidental fire deaths in South Wales dropped from nine in 2004-05 to two in 2005-06, while front line operations of the Service rose by as much as 338%.

Learning from attacks on firefighters
Article Abstract:
The trends of attacks on firefighters by British citizens are described, besides the methods of preventing such attacks. The steps being taken by the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to control and prevent these attacks are discussed.
