Marsupial MHC class II beta genes are not orthologous to the eutherian beta gene families
Article Abstract:
A new marsupial MHC class II beta sequence is described and a thorough phylogenetic analysis of classical class II beta-chain sequences, in order to determine the gene's evolutionary origins, is conducted. It appears that the marsupial and eutherian lineages have retained different gene clusters following gene duplication events early in mammalian evolution.

Organization and variation of the mitochondrial control region in two vulture species, Gypaetus barbatus and Neophron percnopterus
Article Abstract:
Characterize the organization and variability of the entire control region sequence in N. percnopterus and G. barbatus and compare it to other avian control regions. Results showed that the general organization of vulture control regions was very similar to other birds, with three distinct domains.
