Getting smart about protecting young people
Article Abstract:
The Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service partnered with SMARTRISK to educate teenagers about risk management. SMARTRISK's five messages to the youth are as follows: get trained, buckle up, look first, wear the gear, and drive sober. The use of professionally-conceived multi-media presentation in their roadshows that incorporates the experiences of real life injury survivors allows SMARTRISK to be effective in their reach.
