Making Yankee Doodle dandy: ground storage reservoir restoration
Article Abstract:
The Eagan, MN-based Yankee Doodle Reservoir presented the city government of Eagan, MN, with a unique problem in terms of repair and restoration. The 5-million-gallon tank's exterior was in an advanced state of deterioration. There was also a high probability that its interior would also be difficult to repair. The city contracted with companies to inspect the tank's interioras and exteriors to determine just what repairs and renovations were needed in Nov 1998. Project specifications were completed in March 1999. Work on the tank began on Jul 1999 and was completed in Nov 1999.
