New USAR development courses

Article Abstract:

Urban Search and Rescue are offering three dimension training courses. The USAR 10-Advanced Technical Search Course deals with all aspects of technical search phase of an incident. The USAR 11-Collapsed Structure Search Managers Course is an interactive course that will provide search managers with skills needed for the USAR environment. The USAR 36 Hour Exercises (a) and (b) involve operational deployment and exposure to realistic simulated USAR environment.

Cutting edge DIM/USAR training at the FSC

Article Abstract:

A two and a half day course will be given to the United Kingdom Fire and Rescue Service staff who were chosen to operate the new Detection, Identification and Monitoring equipment. Included in the course are decontamination of equipment and personnel and maintenance of equipment for operational readiness. Details of the course are provided.

Paramedics experience USAR at FSC

Article Abstract:

Urban Search and Rescue in coordination with Fire Service College sponsored a casualty management training program for the development of Yorkshire Ambulance Trust Paramedics. The training, which was requested by the Department of Health, lasted for three weeks and consisted of a team of 14 paramedics.
