Government officials seek to provide funds by way of grants and innovative policies for the renewable energy concepts. USDA Small Business Innovation Research program's goal is to offer an opportunity to for-profit small firms to submit applied R&D projects that have the potential to benefit animal waste management, community development and wildlife and individual farmers or food processors who want to install a biogases generator, are provided with USDA 9006 grant.

Digesters bring power and income to west coast dairy farms
Article Abstract:
The new digester in Darryl Vander Haak's farm in Lynden, Washington in the south of the United States-Canadian border is the states first commercial dairy anaerobic digester which will use manure from upto 1,500 cows to produce electricity. Seventy percent of the $ 1.2 million project cost is paid by Vander Haak and the rest of the money came from grants and other resources.
