Canadian company solves disposal problem for printers
Article Abstract:
Canadian company Pro Active Ink Recycling is a mobile recycling firm that handles the recycling of waste ink considered as hazardous waste. Said to be the only ink recycler in North America, Pro Active is the answer to the printing and ink manufacturing industries' problem with disposing their waste ink. The industry's problem has thus become an advantage since ink recycling cuts down costs of other ways of waste management and produces cheaper, but as good as new, ink.

A Maryland county recycles on all fronts
Article Abstract:
Maryland's Prince George's county has introduced composting to recycle leaves. The process starts with weighing the haul at an outdoor remote terminal (ORT) on a computerized weighing machine, and sending it to various places for shredding. Provisions are made to collect water in a pond to prevent its dripping onto the asphalt ground. The material, after being composted, is screened and stored till it is sold.
