Operational considerations and economics of commercial and organics diversion

Article Abstract:

Analysis of the organic waste diversion programs, incorporating the ideas of composers and store and chain managements in separating the recyclable waste from the organic wastes and understanding the economics for optimizing the process of recycling the organic wastes at a low cost is presented. Optimum use of OCC, plastics and waxed corrugated boxes as organic wastes at an economic rate and integration of the vendor operations enhances the success rate of recycling strategies that are operationally sound and profitable to the business participants.

An overview is presented on new dyes developed by the colored mulch supply industry to help green wood residuals retain dyes. The dyes hide the browning and darkening that occurs in green wood mulch as it ages.
