Restrictions on chlorine use expanded

Article Abstract:

The Environmental Protection Agency is considering passing a rule that expands restrictions on chlorine gas use. Under the terms of the proposed regulation, only certified and trained applicators would be eligible to use chlorine gas in water and sewage treatment applications. The additional restriction is a result of serious accidents and fatalities among applicators from using this acute toxic pesticide.
