Source separation of organics in Delhi
Article Abstract:
Non-governmental organization ACCORD has undertaken a waste management and recycling project in the Harkesh Nagar area of New Delhi, India. This project addressed both household waste and similar commercial waste, with participants dividing their waste into organics and other waste. The organics received at the composting facility were relatively clean towards the end of the project, and overall around half of the waste was recycled and the rest picked up by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

Processing soil and bark mulch
Article Abstract:
S&S Processing, based in Ellwood City, PA, is involved in a range of composting activities, including soil blending and bark mulch processing. It has two sources for mushroom compost, along with two for biosolids compost and one for yard trimmings compost. Its clients include municipalities, landscape supply stores and large landscapers. It operates a Vermeer tub grinder, and is therefore able to take bark waste from more than 20 hardwood companies.
