Teamwork provides water recovery/waste dehydration process success
Article Abstract:
Goulston Technologies enlisted the help of Recovery Technologies Corp to improve the efficiency and throughput of its evaporator, which it uses to separate the oil and surfactant mixture from its wastewater. The result of their collaboration was a vapor recompression unit, which would partially refine the oil and surfactant mixture that is recovered from a two-stage process. The recompression unit can handle 12,000 gallons of wastewater daily with a 20-fold reduction in wastewater volume.

U.S. Department of Energy measures difficult environmental flow
Article Abstract:
DynMcDermott Operations Company Inc provides the flow metering requirements of the brine disposal pipelines to the Gulf of Mexico according to EPA regulations. EPA rules stipulate that semi-annual integrity tests be conducted on every brine disposal line. The flow rate is monitored together at a point on shore and at a point miles away into the Gulf in the vicinity of the dispersion nozzles. A leak is determined by comparing the flows.
