When floods came to Oxford
Article Abstract:
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service's (OFRS) largest operation was on July 20, 2007 when Oxfordshire was struck by a massive flood. The damage from that flood included 3000 homes in Oxfordshire and 570 homes in Abingdon. The Emergency Planning Department assisted the OFRS by arranging logistical and welfare support for the flood victims.

The floods in West Yorkshire on June 25, 2007 were unprecedented in the history of the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. The rescue operations by the brigade during the floods are described.
