Teleworking
Article Abstract:
It is unlikely that teleworking will ever be the preferred method of working but it has several benefits. The first is cost, with staff not having to travel from home to work and employers' saving office overheads and rents. Worker flexibility may also cut overtime payments. Among the risks associated with teleworking are lack of staff monitoring, lack of security and problems associated with staff motivation.

Events preceding the second world war led to the concept and practice of operational research (OR). Prior to the second world war operational research was not a coherent profession. Each year is discussed from 1933 through 1939 relating to the war. It relates to British OR development.
