Bankruptcy and business

Article Abstract:

The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 would affect small businesses at both ends of the spectrum by giving more power to growing companies to recover bad debts and at the same time making bankruptcy a larger liability for entrepreneurs and their investors. The law which would push people abusing bankruptcy into chapter 13 would not allow debtors who make the average income in their state to walk away from the debts easily and restricts the wealth a bankrupt person can hide from creditors in home equity.
